Swiss Chard with Golden Raisins

Preheat oven to 400°F.


2 lbs. swiss chard, chopped
1½ Tbsp. olive oil
2 slices bacon, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
¼ cup golden raisins
12 oz. chicken or vegetable broth
1 tsp. salt
1 pinch ground nutmeg


Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add oil, bacon, and onion to the pan and sauté 2 to 3 minutes. Add chopped swiss chard and combine. Cook until wilted.

Sprinkle in raisins, and pour in broth, salt and nutmeg. Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until chard is no longer bitter.

Serves 4
