Turkey Roulade

From Our Kitchen

Ingredients

1 - 4 lb. fresh turkey breast, sliced thin
1 lb. sausage and apple stuffing (see Wilson Farm recipe)
1 roll plastic wrap (such as Saran)

Method

Lay one layer of plastic wrap on table. Place turkey slices on plastic wrap, side by side in even layer, leaving a one-inch border of plastic wrap around the slices. Place a narrow mound of stuffing in the middle of each turkey slice.

Roll plastic wrap and turkey slices around the stuffing once, forming a roll with the plastic wrap on the outside. The wrap will help you create an even roll. Tie each end of plastic wrap on each turkey roll with twine or a rubber band.

Fill a stockpot with about 2 – 3 inches of water and bring to a boil. Place a steamer basket on top of the pot. Place turkey rolls in steamer basket and cover with lid.

Steam for between 8 – 12 minutes. Remove turkey rolls from steamer and let cool until you’re able to handle them.

Remove plastic wrap from turkey rolls and slice to desired thickness. Serve warm with gravy.
