Rhubarb Sauce

1½ cup rhubarb, thinly sliced
½ cup white wine
3 Tbsp. orange juice
2½ Tbsp. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. crystalized ginger, diced
2 star anise


Place wine and star anise in a sauce pot and simmer until reduced by half. Add ginger and orange juice - simmer for five minutes. Then add sugar and rhubarb - simmer again until soft (about ten minutes).

Let cool. Discard star anise.

Serve over pork, duck or chicken.
