Honey-Whole Wheat Bread

Preheat oven to 450°F. Grease medium bowl & set aside.


6-8 cups whole meal flour
¼ cup honey
5 Tbsp. shortening
2 Tbsp. dry yeast
4½ cups warm water
½ cup whole milk


With a hand-held electric mixer, mix all ingredients together for 2 min. on slow speed, then increase speed for an additional 8 min. Allow dough to ferment in the greased bowl for 1hr, covered with a damp cloth. Then weigh out 1lb pieces & place in a bread pan. Bake for 35 minutes.
