        ¼ cup water
	¼ cup orange juice
2 cups sugar (less for tart sauce)
	4 cups whole cranberries
	1½ tsp. orange rind, grated
	1 Tbsp. orange-flavored liqueur (optional)
Place the water, orange juice, sugar, cranberries, and orange rind in a 2-quart saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. Uncover, lower the heat, and simmer until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens a bit (about 10 minutes). Mash any cranberries that remain whole and remove from the heat. Stir in the orange liqueur. The sauce thickens more as it cools. Chill before serving.
