Baked Carrot Sticks

Preheat oven to 350°F


2 lbs. carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
freshly ground pepper or dash cinnamon
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine


Place the carrots in a shallow 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle them with the salt, sugar, and either pepper or cinnamon. Stir to mix. Dot with butter. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes or until done. Stir once halfway through the baking period.

You may also bake carrots at 400°F for 40 to 45 minutes.
