Tofu Burgers

From Try Something New

Preheat oven to 350ºF


1 lb. tofu
2 eggs, beaten
2 Tbsp. whole wheat flour
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
½ onion, minced
1 stalk celery
½ red pepper, minced
½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil


Sauté celery and green pepper in celery until soft. Set aside. Mash tofu with a fork. Mix in the eggs, flour, and soy sauce. Blend in grated cheese. Form mixture into small patties, about 2 inches in diameter. Coat with breadcrumbs. Brown in skillet or bake in oven (350ºF until golden brown).
