Cheese Please

Just say "cheese" and your transported into our world of almost 200 locally made or imported and domestic cheeses. Explore our fine assortment of Artesian and Farmhouse cheeses created from the best cow, sheep, and goat's milks. Come and compare a Vermont cheddar to an English 'farmhouse' cheddar. Feeling a little blue? Enjoy a French AOC Roquefort, or for something closer to home, try Marion, Massachusetts' award winning Great Hill Blue. Discover the difference between a French Camembert and Old Chatham Company cow and sheep's milk blend Camembert. We might just get your goat! Well, okay, not yours, but definitely great goat cheeses from nearby Westfield Farms in Hubbardston, Vermont, and France, will.

Cheese pleases when you combine it with our pates, mousses, and terrines from Les Trois Petit Cochons and Summersweet Fine Foods. Don't forget smoked salmon and smoked peppered mackerel, a few olives and roasted red peppers. Here's where you'll also find sauces and dips,

We can create those platters for you: cheese, fruit, & vegetable platters are winners.

Flowers

All year-round we're your breath of spring (and summer and fall). Overdose on our fresh-cut stems, masterful centerpieces, and bouquets just perfect for your table, an event, or that gift you need. Our own fresh, field grown flowers spell summer with varieties including Zinnias, Giant Zinnias, Calendula, Snapdragons, Statice, Asters, Celosia, Salvia, Gebera Daisies, and Sunflowers. Roses range from red to lavender, plus marguerite daisies, carnations, and babies breath for the traditional. Birds of Paradise, Ginger flowers, and orchids for the more exotic.

Call our floral manager 781-862-3900, or come in and let us fashion your heart's desire. Remember:

  • Keep flowers away from excessive heat or freezing in transit.
  • Strip off all of the lower leaves that will be under the water in your vase.
  • Recut stems at an angle and place flowers in cool tap water.
  • Keep flowers out of direct heat or sun.
  • Change water and recut stems frequently to extend the life of your flowers.
  • Use a floral preservative, it's much more effective than sugar, aspirin, or a penny.
